Bills Tidy

Tidy
I've been a bit busy over recent weeks. And the detritus has amassed. I can hardly move in my box bedroom / office for CD's, spent batteries, DVD cases (I watch something when I'm on the exercise bike), receipts, badges, more CD's, pens, dead squirrels... a very varied glacier of crap that is slowly engulfing me and the keyboard.

I'm not an untidy person elsewhere in the house.

This is work-related.

My wife trains people in Time Management and frequently espouses the ethos: 'Tidy Desk, Tidy Mind'.

She has nightmares about this room.

I promised myself that I would tidy it this morning.

Instead I took a photo of it and spent an hour twatting about with it in Photoshop.

I now have an hour of my 'working day' (to be fair, this is my first day off in months) left before I have to pick Ava up.

I'm hoping that the mess conveys the illusion of a gymnastically creative mind -- one so caught up in genius feats of the imagination it can't settle down to the mundanities of cleaning and tidying.

But the truth is that some days I'm so overwhelmed by indolence that I only breath out every other time.

Today is one of those days.
