New Site Launched

Bye bye old site!

It's been a while since I wielded my coding 'skills' in anything like anger. Any IT pro who looked underneath the bonnet of this site would shake their head and blow through pursed lips for a very long time indeed. And they'd have nightmares. Lurid scare-a-thons populated by badly-structured .php and .css stylesheets that contravene every rule and standard in their book.

I'm sorry to give those people nightmares.

I am.

You can get me back.

Eat the Tescos stores in North Wales and Chester dry of doughnuts, that'd be one way to do it.

Like I said, I'm very sleepy and there's a dull ache of disappointment I'm trying to ignore as to how last night went. I got killed by reggae. And it's supposed to be such a laidback, friendly music. Don't believe a fucking word of it.

So, here is the new 'look' site. There is still smoothing and polishing to be done. I have added an RSS Feed somewhere over there to the left [it might be smack bang in the middle of the screen if you're viewing this on Internet Explorer -- I have no idea... can't test it on a Mac, see].

If you subscribe to the RSS Feed, you'll get immediate notification of when I update the site. And I swear to all the Gods I don't believe in that I will aim to write here only when I have something interesting to say [with relation to the show, of course].

There is also a Jukebox up there to the right that will showcase some of the amazing session tracks that we've recorded over the last 12 months.

And the 'Stickies' bit will keep important show-related blogs easy to find.

Still to do:

1) Oops -- close my and tags. I'll do that now.

2) Implement some kind of comments system so you can slag me off underneath the blogs & so that spammers can leave adds for Cialis.

3) Add a 'Tag Cloud' -- I don't really see the use of them, but smart sites I like have 'em and I'm easily influenced.

4) Update the FAQ section, which is looking terrifically dated.

By the way, I had to code this by hand -- it was easier than trying to bend Wordpress to suit my needs.

Wow! I've just seen the site at 1024 x 768 -- I didn't realise the logo at the top would look that big!

I'm not that much of an egotist.

So, 5) make the top logo smaller.

If I get these finished, there might be a radio show tomorrow night.

Thank you for reading: if you have any feedback, problems, notice any bugs etc. please mail me. Any of my gmail addresses will do.
