Food & Exercise Diary for 22nd Sep

1 bowl of the crunchy cereal with odd-looking berries in it
1 strawberry fool
more freaking nuts
broccoli and stilton soup + 3 rounds of wholemeal toast
bowl of shreddies & a banana
tiny piece of cheese
pickled onion
salt and vinegar rice cake
Beans on toast with HP sauce
One pitta bread + a tiny bit of some foul tapanade I got from Tescos.

26km on exercise bike in 3/4 hr

booze: none
fags: not-a-one

I went to Tescos and didn't buy anything to eat 1) in the car on the way home, 2) before cooking tea, or 3) to keep hidden away until after the wife had gone to bed.

I know that last one is a bit pathetic.

I've only done that a couple of times.

A large packet of Fruit Pastilles, once... and I remember going through a phase of secret Creme Caramel appreciation.

This is all offered in the spirit of honesty.

I haven't told a single lie or omitted anything, yet.

But I know where the real temptation comes [generally on Saturdays when I'm exhausted and hung-over, or when Jo is away with work -- that's when the takeaways of Chester go into 'Standby' mode].

So far, typing this out and revealing it has helped bolster my self discipline.

So far.
