I've been away far too long, and if I try and write about what I've been up to for the last month and a half, we'll be here for a long, long time, and I wouldn't dare presume that you would be that interested.
It all started [ish] with Dirty Perfect at Telfords. They were, well, perfect, but not all that dirty. Apart from the Chris Martin-esque graffiti on Kip's hand, that is. 'Wizard's Sleeve' What's that all about?

BBC Wales has been on Anglesey for the last couple of months, part of its here for you strategy. I've been over four or five times in the last few weeks to do sports quizzes, a couple of editions of Mousemat, and - this coming Wednesday - an outside broadcast from the Victoria Hotel in Menai Bridge, with Akira the Don, bravecaptain and Acid Casuals. It will be aces.
Anglesey is very, very beautiful. Benllech, in particular, has stolen my heart.
I don' think they were over impressed with some of the music I played in Telfords that night ;0)
Good Fridays bring out the worst in everyone. Best to play safe and keep your head down, in my experience.
Most excitingly I became an uncle on the 20th April -- or, was it the 21st? Isaac was born at the Countess of Cheshire hospital, which means that he'll qualify for dual nationality should he want to hedge his bets when he becomes an international footballer at some point in he not too distant future.I was worried that my brother, Danny, was going to call his child Keano or Cantona; fortunately - for all involved - he hasn't, and I won't have to go around calling the baby it or Dalglish.
Finally, Weapons of Mass Belief blessed our gaff on Friday 28th April and put in the most dynamic performance I have ever seen at the Warehouse. All of that after they had endured the most nightmarish, 8 1/2 hour journey up from London... not helped by them putting petrol into a diesel Mercedes van [the fault of the van hire firm].They got a rousing reception, and a well-deserved encore from an audience who - I think it's fair to say - don't normally shake it on down to the sound of rap infused metal [or should that be metal infused rap?]
That Friday I had been down in Cardiff presenting the Jamie Owen show. It was an enlightening experience. I really like the production team on Jamie's show... Lydia, in particular, has a singular way of making you feel at ease whilst still being authoritative enough to get you to do things the way she wants them done.
I don't know how well it was received. It would be good to get some feedback from some of the editorial staff.
I've done a lot of different shows on the radio since I was last here. Studio X, Jamie Owen, the Extra Time sports quiz -- it has been a buzz. Hopefully, there will be more opportunities in the future.
Finally [again] the Thursday night before I presented Jamie's show, I stole into Clwb Ifor Bach to enjoy one of Machine Records Terminal nights. In light of the next morning's responsibilities, I should have left earlier, and maybe the fifth pint of Guinness was a mistake, but the music, and the experience, was well worth the risk. Oddskool was dynamic and spontaneously and a world away from any musical performance I have ever seen before. He had his PC with him and was shaking a mouse - I think - as if his entire digital life depended on it. Crazy, wonderful shit.
